Hausdorff Dimension in Convex Bornological Spaces

چکیده
For non-metrizable spaces the classical Hausdorff dimension is meaningless. We extend the notion of Hausdorff dimension to arbitrary locally convex linear topological spaces, and thus to a large class of non-metrizable spaces. This involves a limiting procedure using the canonical bornological structure. In the case of normed spaces the new notion of Hausdorff dimension is equivalent to the classical notion.

Structure of Locally Idempotent Algebras
It is shown that every locally idempotent (locallym-pseudoconvex) Hausdorff algebra A with pseudoconvex vonNeumannbornology is a regular (respectively, bornological) inductive limit of metrizable locallym-(kB-convex) subalgebras AB of A. In the case where A, in addition, is sequentially BA-complete (sequentially advertibly complete), then every subalgebraAB is a locally m-(kB-convex) Fréchet al...
متن کاملBornological Completion of Locally Convex Cones
In this paper, firstly, we obtain some new results about bornological convergence in locally convex cones (which was studied in [1]) and then we introduce the concept of bornological completion for locally convex cones. Also, we prove that the completion of a bornological locally convex cone is bornological. We illustrate the main result by an example.
متن کاملRiesz Type Theorem in Locally Convex Spaces
The present paper is concerned with some representatons of linear mappings of continuous functions into locally convex vector spaces, namely Theorem. If X is a complete Hausdorff locally convex vector space, then a general form of weakly compact mapping T : C[a, b] → X is of the form Tg = ∫ b a g(t)dx(t), where the function x(·) : [a, b] → X has a weakly compact semivariation on [a, b]. This th...
متن کاملA convenient differential category
In this paper, we show that the category of Mackey-complete, separated, topological convex bornological vector spaces and bounded linear maps is a differential category. Such spaces were introduced by Frölicher and Kriegl, where they were called convenient vector spaces. While much of the structure necessary to demonstrate this observation is already contained in Frölicher and Kriegl’s book, we...
متن کاملUsing Homological Methods on the Base of Iterated Spectra in Functional Analysis
We introduce new concepts of functional analysis: Hausdorff spectrum and Hausdorff limit or H-limit of Hausdorff spectrum of locally convex spaces. Particular cases of regular H-limit are projective and inductive limits of separated locally convex spaces. The class of H-spaces contains Fréchet spaces and is stable under forming countable inductive and projective limits, closed subspaces and quo...
